This new version fixes a few bugs related to "strict" server
environments (e.g. users couldn't see the menu or got php errors of
missing files).
The major new feature of v2.3 is a new extra layer of security for your Joomla! or Mambo admin panel. By enabling $extra_security
in the template's configuration.php file and setting the appropriate
password, you can keep away prying eyes from your site's admin panel.

Today we are releasing our fifth extension for the Joomla CMS, the "Tabs In Content Items" plugin!
This plugin (or bot or mambot, these are the old definitions!) gives you the ability to easily add content tabs within standard Joomla content items. The tabs simulate a multi-page structure, inside a single page!

One of the best code editors I've seen in a while is Aptana, "a robust, JavaScript-focused IDE for building dynamic web applications".
Although "JavaScript-focused", Aptana delivers a familiar interface (for those used to Dreamweaver) and handles pretty well (X)HTML and CSS files. And did I mention it's free?
