| Frontpage Slideshow v2.2 is now available |

Following the release of 2.1 a few days ago, we just launched v2.2 fixing bugs and adding some new features. More specifically, v2.2 addresses all bugs reported by users regarding sample data setup and the installation procedure. It also introduces significantly improved performance both server-side (database querying) and client-side (HTML/CSS/JS rendering) and now offers the choice for full MVC-based templating for the module, for each slideshow template. Combine that with a unique on-the-fly MVC templating approach, you can create new MVC slideshow templates that reside on your Joomla! template's folder and not inside the module's "tmpl" folder. This allows for easier product updates, without having to worry about slideshow template backups and of course, without the need to edit the Frontpage Slideshow module XML file, as it was previously done in v2.0 and v2.1. Slide ordering has also been introduced to provide even more accurate slideshow display control, as well as some other minor changes/improvements in the module parameters. v2.2 comes in our new unified package installer, as first introduced in v2.1. If you already own a Frontpage Slideshow v2 license, just login to our PDS system or use your e-Junkie links (if you just bought the extension) to download this latest update.
